Benefits

Master Plan is based on the following project benefits:

  • desire of world goods exporters to significant cost savings for the transit of goods from China and Korea to Central and Eastern Europe and North America;
  • growth of air cargo transportation worldwide and in Ukraine;
  • Increase of road freight transport in Ukraine;
  • Growing demand for warehouses with modern cargo handling system;
  • Potential disclosure of strategic position of Ukraine in the framework of existing routes between Asia and Europe;
  • Providing regional freight transportation on the existing rail, road and sea routes;
  • Infrastructure development of Ukraine;
  • Increased number of jobs in underdeveloped districts of the region.

Besides, implementation of the project will stimulate the development of different businesses around the Object.

Disadvantages

Currently, air transport industry is affected by three factors that determine its development: globalization of world economy, liberalization of air space, privatization of the airlines.

However, Ukraine experiences the following negative factors of this process defining poor development of air transport today:

  • Lack of technologies and aviation service standards which are basic for such business abroad;
  • Lack of agencies that constitute the freight market sales;
  • Lack of efficient procedure of customs clearance at the airports, therefore period when the cargo passed through the customs many times exceeds accepted standards in other countries.
